It is possible to make boolean and lucene queries to generate advanced searches. You can exclude or include certain social accounts, categories, publication criteria, etc. They are useful for generating queries that cannot be obtained using the filters. For example, the "Categories" filter works like an AND search. If you want to filter accounts that are attached to either one category or another, you have to make an OR query. To illustrate this example, we could imagine that we want to filter accounts that are attached to the Facebook categories "Media/News Company" and "News and media Website" - either one or the other, or both. By using the filters, Nonli would retrieve the accounts attached to these two categories concurrently. The query to enter to get the expected results would therefore be: category: "Media/news company" OR "News and media website". It is important to note that the terms need to be exact (including spaces, uppercase/lowercase, etc.) for the search to work.
